I have spent a bit of time exploring a very old pathway this summer, the Dry Diggings track through Central Victoria. Popular amongst mountain bike riders, this lovely track meanders across winter creeks, through plantation forests, past bush surrounded getaways and connects many of the towns in this region. My favourite part of this track is the constant reminders of times that have gone past, recorded only through what was once planted on the fertile creek flats. Lucky for me it was stone fruit season ..
If a bag full of public plums wasn’t enough … wild garlic was spotted! I have never tasted garlic like this before! Totally out of this world..
There is gold in these gold fields! Hope you have had a wonderful summer. Usual blog postings will resume from next week.
